Designer Radiator Remedial Work Project
This project involved correcting a dangerous designer radiator installation. The existing radiators were removed, the supporting wall structure was reinforced where required, and the units were reinstalled using secure and appropriate fixings.
Designer radiators can be considerably heavier than standard panel radiators, placing greater demand on the wall and mounting points. They must be installed correctly to ensure long-term safety, stability and reliable heating performance. Scope of Work

Installation Approach
The radiators were removed carefully so the existing mounting arrangement and supporting wall could be inspected properly.
Where the original fixing points were not suitable for the weight of the radiators, the wall structure was strengthened before the units were repositioned and securely mounted. Careful attention was given to the fixing method, radiator alignment and safe support of each unit.
Any necessary adjustments to the associated heating pipework were also completed to ensure the radiators were correctly connected and able to operate reliably.
Once reinstalled, the radiators, valves and connections were checked thoroughly to confirm that the units were secure, correctly positioned and functioning as intended.
End Result
The completed remedial work provides a safe, stable and properly supported designer radiator installation.
The reinforced mounting arrangement, secure fixings and checked pipework have created a reliable installation designed for safe long-term use.
